Wrist Hyperextension

  • Usually from landing on outstretched arm from falling
  • Rule out radius/ulna fracture, navicular (scaphoid) fracture and lunate dislocation

  • Position wrist in the proper amount of flexion

  • Apply J-Wrap and anchors on wrist and mid hand

  • Measure the distance between the anchors

  • Make a fan with 3-5 strips of tape

  • Reposition wrist if necessary and apply fan to hand and anchor
